Gideon van Eeden was born in the Carl Bremer Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa.

After attending Panorama Primary School he joined Tygerberg High School where he finished as top student of the year 1998. During these years it became apparent that Gideon was to pursue a career in the performing arts. He applied successfully to Pretoria Technikon. This institution was respected as the top training academy for actors during the formative years of South Africa's young democracy. It is in this climate that Van Eeden also awoke as a writer. Soon after his studies were completed he was cast in a lead role in a popular South African soap bringing him sudden fame with its many pitfalls. During this time in Johannesburg he developed an intense desire to learn more and subsequently returned to studying completing a bachelor. He now refocused his attention on theatre and established himself as a playwright, producer, director and actor in his beloved Cape Town. More to follow...
